To perform the Penny Test, simply place a penny upside down in between the tire tread. If you can see the top of Lincoln’s head, your treads are worn and it’s time to replace your tires. It’s important to note that, to meet legal safety standards in the U.S., a tire’s tread needs to be at least 2/32” deep.
